THE COOLEST😉 SUITE YOU’LL EVER STAY IN…..NO PUN INTENDED….WHICH ONE WILL YOU CHOOSE?

If you ever dreamt of a night in an ice hotel, Hôtel de Glace may be your dream- come-true, and your one and only amazing option in North America. In my previous posts I shared some information about the hotel itself. Here I take you on a tour of its various Suites, so you can decide which one would suit your fancy. Although each room and suite is designed by a different “architect”, and built fresh every year, it will give you some idea of what to expect.

If romance is something you’re after, you should definitely book one with a fireplace đŸ”„ or even a private hot tub. Although I have to admit that those fireplaces are really only for looks. I had one in my suite, but can’t remember it emanating any real heat. Well, I guess if it did, my suite would have melted and I would have awakened outside in the blistering cold. 😂

Each room and suite comes equipped with special sleeping bags, a moisture-wicking blanket and a million instructions. You also get a short but mandatory training session explaining what to expect and how to, well, behave.

The main thing you are really concerned with during the night (and believe me, it is real!) is not having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. đŸ€Ł
You are dressed in a million layers, wrapped in a special blanket, cocooned in a tight sleeping bag, and it’s a freezing -25C outside.đŸ„¶To get to the bathroom, you have to leave your warm and cozy cocoon, put your boots on, get dressed and venture outside. That part is not so romantic.
I am happy to report that I survived until the morning without that feared nighttime trip. 😀
