A RESTAURANT WITH ITS OWN RICE FIELD? 😳

What restaurants around the world have stood out in your mind for their unique location or design?

After a very long and tiring day of exploring the southwestern parts of Bali, I came across the most amazing surprise. It was a restaurant in Seminyak, called Sardine. With its own little rice field, and a beautiful bamboo design (not to mention the cuisine) it was one of the highlights of my trip. A creative mix of Balinese and modern cuisines, with a decor to boost, I had a dinner not to forget.

In the back of the restaurant, there is a beautiful little rice field, and even a romantic cabana, all lit up by lanterns and candles, as well as pretty umbrellas along its edges.
And the field is not just for show. The restaurant actually harvest its own rice 🌾and uses it in their dishes 🍛.

Specializing in fish and seafood, it is not only incredibly creative, but also very focused on fresh local bounty, serving organic vegetables from their own garden. There is also a comfortable lounge by the koi pond, if you’d like to enjoy one of their arak drinks while you’re waiting for your dinner table.

Run to perfection by wonderful owners, who are on hand to mingle with the diners, and a chef hailing originally from California, of all places 😊, it is a restaurant aiming to please all palates, and a dining experience not to forget for more reasons than one.
